Broken with God, not by God!

Most often than not, people lose their faith because of their circumstances. To many, being a Christian means your life is supposed to be a smooth ride, like you are not supposed to go through hurdles along the way. Hence people tend to start doubting God’s existence in times of malicious experiences.

When I look back at everything I went through and look at some of the people who went through the same, or even less, I realise that if I never knew God from a young age, I would be a wreck or even dead, but because of His word I am still a “Queen” and so much alive – Hahaha.

When you try to heal without God, your remedy is likely to be ungodly.

You are going to do things that are not from God. The enemy will start squeezing himself in the space you could have made for God’s light and he will tell you what to do in order to get right, but nothing he says will lead you to the path of righteousness.

Everything he says is all lies, he uses manipulation and deception to get his way, hence he has the ability to convince. All his tricks will make God appear to be powerless or less caring of His people and he will make you see the right in doing wrong. Think about how he deceived Adam and Eve into eating the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3:1-6)

Many broken people resort to calamitous addictions to ease pain, their behaviour changes and they think they are healing when they are just worsening. You will seek validation as the enemy will tell you to find comfort in people and then lead you to people who will introduce you to his destructive assignments and break you even worse, and the more you break, the more he plays with your mind.

You will begin to doubt God and think He has forsaken you and then blame Him for your brokenness. Yes you got broken at God’s presence, but it is not Him who broke you. It is the enemy who is testing your FAITH and God allowed him so that you can activate your FAITH and be the epitome of what FAITH can do, but you can never be that if you have a negative attitude towards God. Think about how Job believed in God regardless of the tests and losses he went through.

Stop being mad at God and start believing that He will lift you above your situation regardless of how bad it is. Maybe He answered a long time ago but your attitude and scorn towards Him is disturbing you from discovering the SOLUTION to your problem.

Remember (Numbers 20) where Moses failed to bring the Israelites into the promised land because he struck the rock instead of speaking to it as God had told him to. His bad attitude did not affect only him, but the rest of the Israelites.

A bad attitude towards God will distract you from hearing His voice or even prohibit you from practicing it the right way if you do hear it.

I will forever thank God for not allowing my misfortunes to lead me to a place far from His presence. I learned that it matters not how broke or broken I am. The lack, rejection, brokenness and loneliness might prove to be a menace to my flesh but I know that the joy comes in the morning and my future is definitely brighter than my past and the present.

For His anger last only a moment, but His favour lasts a lifetime; weeping may endure for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning  (Psalms 30:5)

Yes, at some point I questioned His provision and protection. I wondered why I pray everyday but still go through troublesome situations. I then realised that one cannot talk about God being a healer if they never got sick, fell on His feet and got healed. Think about how Paul and Silas praised Him even when they were captured in jail (Acts 16:16-40).

I don’t believe the earthquake would have shaken the prison’s foundations if Paul and Silas cursed God for their imprisonment. They would have missed their MIRACLE and their chains wouldn’t have broken. It is their praises and FAITH that opened those prison doors. Be careful not to miss your HEALING because of failing to believe in God.

Bad times will still come even when you make Jesus the center of your life and when they do it’s when you have to stand firm on the word and know that your redeemer LIVETH!
